I believe she is my first archer girl for Anima, Daniella Michelle Meris.

I had liked the name Michelle ever since my highschool days over 10 years ago, (there was a hot girl named Michelle who was a senior XD) I had tried to design and failed at some characters after the name as well.

When the boss asked me to draw an archer, I had already sketched a girl named michelle who was an archer out of my own interest, so then i had decided to make her name Michelle.

When it comes to her looks tho, I combined it with another silly wish of mine, to dedicate a chararter to an awesome artist here on DA

So then I took a few things from my fave character of hers, Iris. these includes the jewel spheres, Beads? that are often used in Michelle's designs, and used purple on her armor as well. =]

her name WAS going to be Michelle Meris, but one of our team members really wanted to name her Daniella, so then we combined the names hehehe

thats the story of that it was rather interesting, so i had to tell it. =]

now to the illustration itself, Archers are often portrayed doing some sort of a pose with the bow, most of the time, drawing the bow, ready to shoot or already shot an arrow out. I had wanted a new pose, something not so typical (even if some of those typical pose are nice)

It took about 6 to 7 days of thinking and sketching, in order for me to come up with this pose of her doing a close attack with the arrow. I had wanted something without the bow in action, but still part of the archer's weaponry, so then it was a stab with the arrow. =]

in this particular situation, she had evaded the armor guy's slash with an early jump, and stabbed him on the back of his neck with the arrow head.
