Well you could have done something with the back ground to improve on the feeling of darkness/power/intimidation you get from looking at this piece of art but aside from that I would say that you did well with the "dark god" theme and besides sometimes simple is much more better that complex, although the lines of "light" across his body do kind of make him look more like a being of twilight to me....
Well anyways it's a good piece of art no matter how you look at it.
