Even Though I drew a lot of kimonos in my younger days I only seriously studied its structure lately. This is the first one that I feel I have applied what I learned onto the design.
She was born into a prestigious family, but learned Ninjutsu from Takanosuke's father. She is a mix of a swordsman and Ninja. She normally only use the dagger with her ninjutsu and only uses the Nodachi when she is trying to take care of a lot of foes in a short period of time.
Her costume is a mix of Ninja and Furisode. (long sleeves worn primarily by girls who arent married)
Because it is a fantasy setting i gave her the short kunoichi torso kimono instead of the long skirt.
F*ck...is that enough to let you know that i like this girl ?
@__@
Her pose is rather boring, but I can't help it, i wanted to display the kimono this way.
This will be an 11X17 inch print, on glossy cardstock for Fanime in San Jose, California.

Beautiful mix of the two er... cultures so to speak. I love the feathered collar as a touch of modern style as well. The pose is a bit more appropriate to wearing a furisodo anyway. To wear such an outfit and be in a less ladylike pose might not work so well. Love it!
