Hey! I just made a account to comment on this. I've started watching your works no stop for 2 hours, and i've noticed most of the thigs that i like are reflected on this pictures, this is the one that got me the most from all of them, this is 60-80% close to what my ideal character would be! I don't like his hairstyle and his face looks strange to me, but other parts are incredible, the desings of the lower part of the armor is just more than amazing. I really love your art, greetings from Spain! And one question... If he has a sheath on his back to keep one weapon... the where does he keep the other one?
This is one of my favorite drawings you have done, its awesome. My three most favorite still being ''Speaker of Chaos'' → ''Matthew Gaul'' → ''M.Gaul armored''. These were the first pictures i found when i was searching for kick ass pictures. Every time i see your pictures, i pouch my self for not trying to study in art classes, lol.
His face is kind of odd. It feels like it's flat. The right side of his face (his left hand side) would be angled backwards. Here, it appears as though both side of his face are equally distant from the viewer, and it just looks strange. I think it's mostly from the left brow. I don't know how you'd fix it though.
You're a machine, man! Can't believe you have such polished and complete work in such numbers. I dig that art of this type if coming into style- what with the whole Legend of Korra-ish rise on cultural mishmash.
I really like this. I love the mix of the more western styled armor with the more eastern styled armguards. I also love how the swords are differently styled. Though I do think he still comes across as being more eastern. Like 70/30. Maybe 60/40.
So my husband and close friends are REALLY into anime, samurai's, ninja's, oriental food, etc. Me, not so much. (I watched Hellsing and that's pretty much it) I've always been confused when it comes to the pronunciation of names. Here in America, I'd pronounce Sho like Show. Or am I way off?
What this vaguely reminds me of [link] Also, I think I remember from a WIP post that these really are 2D drawings, but you have it down to an art in itself that they could be stylized 3D art. Everything you do to them really gives that effect.
