Day 8: Rakshasa by Wen-M Day 8: Rakshasa by Wen-M
Didn't really do the reverse hand thing that are in some descriptions. XD kind of took more freedom on the shapeshifter part and gave him various limbs

next monster is Orthrus

lets ask the question again, please comment if you are a cosplayer from the NYC area =D

A favorite villainous beast from mythology. Great interpretation!

"Does this picture make my teeth look big?"

Nice combo you used here. Wasn't sure why you added the insect legs. I do understand that the face looks very similar to Indonesian demon masks.

Damn! Definitely wouldn't want to run into that kind of foul beast in any alleyway! Great work!

So next up is Orthrus, huh? A two-headed dog ought to be easy enough. Can't wait to see what kind of creative twist you add to it!

As a forgotten Realms player I am so used to the Anthro tiger version of the Rakshasa that seing an other interpretation is really strange, but good !

I like the tusks quite a lot. Why not do the reverse-hands thing?

Well, the Vetala for one would be a good subject to draw as there are infinitesimally many ways of imagining it.... or you could go for any asura from the scriptures..... if you are not specific about numbers, then you could go for the infamous Sumbha-Nisumbha brothers (who also happen to be Asuras)

sorry for the rant, but my grandma is well versed in myths of my land, but i dont have the skill to depict them via drawing liek you xD
