Madeline on her chopper by Wen-M Madeline on her chopper by Wen-M
The concept of this started way back in November of 2004, then i realized i knew nothing about a chopper so i took some time to study them but i still had lots of problems with the perspective of the bike. :disbelief:

drawing long straight lines with the tablet was about the toughest task... :faint:

She's NOT fat, she's just a person that doesn't starve herself, was born tiny or have had surgery done! Jeez, people!!

I must say I really love this piece. She's really gorgeous (and really, she's not fat, she's right between average sized and heavy set).
... I also need that bike. I truly believe that my well-being depends on whether or not I get this bike or not.

Man, I know what you mean; My latest commission is of Temari from Naruto on a chopper and my commissioner wants the perspective to be from even more frontal than this, almost head-on but not quite. I'm having a nightmare even getting the basic skeleton lines of the bike down, it's really really hard!

(I even considered just tracing a damn bike last n ight for a moment or two!) But your bike in this picture is awesome, it's really really good! :D I've decided to persist with scratch-drawing my bike because then I can simplify the engine parts a little to make them look better - in short, making my own bike the way I want to, like it looks like you've done! Really good attention to the accessories though, the air intake cone, handlebars, headlamp etc :aww:

And what's crazy, is the Madeline is my girlfriend's name, and if you did her hair brown instead, this'd be a picture of my girlfriend because she has the same figure :jawdrop:

If you want to send me a note with any tips on how to draw a bike as good as this, I'd find that really mega useful :D

I work on bikes for a living and I gotta say........
your research payed off. I don't care for choppers in general, but it is accurate. What gets me here is the girl. Shes hot! and I like the accents and different colors in her leathers.

Sweat pic dude!!

"...then i realized i knew nothing about a chopper so i took some time to study them"

And study you did! I've been watching a friend of mine put together a chopper very similar in style and proportions to yours... Very nice job, the chopper is extremely accurate! Overall nice image, the clothing you chose looks very appropriate (not mention hott!)

If she ever wipes out, that skull pendant will f'ing KILL her.
Wen-M Featured By Owner Apr 11, 2007
ah, theres many other things that can kill her too =P
Random-Ninja Featured By Owner Apr 11, 2007
Probably, but that one looks like it would damage her sexiest tid-bits the most without killing her D=
Darktaru Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2007
Is it just me or does this look like that girl you drew on the #38 bus a while ago?
TenlarScarflame Featured By Owner Jan 8, 2007
heh, nope. The picture is actually rather accurate, anatomically speaking. ;)

I'll also have to tell her to go find that outfit :D

I want that chopper too.
TenlarScarflame Featured By Owner Jan 2, 2007
Interestingly, this looks very much like my girlfriend who is also named Madeline.

I'll have to go tell her that I didn't know she could ride a chopper ;)

Dude, that's probably THE best renderation of a chopper I've ever seen. The sheer amount of detail is just mind-blowing. Fabulous design on the bike and the chick's attire. I think she should be looking way happier with a monster like that between her legs, though. (^_')

Well, sir. I'm not sure that you will read this comment, or if you check your updates. If I were you, I would be dreadfully afraid of them. XD I've been gasping over and over at your artwork as each time I click a thumbnail that I am POSITIVE is a plastic model, the full-view turns out to be a phenomenal drawing. I'm just astounded. It sure as hell makes me wanna try out a couple of those rpgs. =P

This piece in particular strikes me as unique.. I don't see many people incorporating a more average-heavyset woman like this into a "sexy" theme, and the realism of it is breathtaking. Possibly because it distills the unrealistic vogue beauty of all those pretty skinny girls into a beauty that the media doesn't often cover, making her look stronger and more tough to match the bike, not to turn this already long-winded comment into a socialist rant. Of course, your Vogue-worthy pretty skinny girl characters are just as astonishing. :D

And, the only thing close to a "flaw" I see on this is the way the headlight connects to the handlebars, and the way the handlebar connects to the rest of the bike. It's very vague, but it looks a bit iffy. In your defense and in defense of my ignorance, you chose an iffy and hard-to-pull of angle in the first place, and worked wonders.

XD LOL @ the flamewar that had nothing or little to do with you on the first page.

You are my art hero.

Click, shift, click, that's the ticket :D There's always something appealing about a woman on a motorbike..... But usually that's just heading in the wrong direction. Did what you could with the chopper, right? It's all good, and heck be proud you didn't cop out on putting in details on the engine [I know so many illustrators on my end that do]. My hat off to you :).

I think the only reason I'd add this to my favs....Besides the awesome and incredible job done by Wen is that the argument about the proportions not only helped me but was really interesting to read. Everyone had to have their two cents put in and say whether or not the head was too small for the body. I looked both ways at the drawing and saw it as too small AND perfectly done. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this work certainly brought out everyone's thoughts. And since this is my first comment for Wen in an older piece....I think you can only go up from here, Wen. ^.^ SQUEE for you, deary.
