I have art from friends that think the same - since their skill has increased - of the works I own. I won't let them have them back... I love what I own from them. *smiles*
You showed up to the watch store one afternoon and had your binder that you kept all your sketches in. So, we were talking about art and I think we were talking about the piece you submitted to EGM (or one of those game magazines) that got you published in their art section, and for some reason you just doodled the Cloud/Tifa sketch while you were standing at the counter. I said how awesome it looked, and since you didn't like it (even back then, lol) you pulled open your binder and showed me your more detailed, colored FF7 sketches you had done earlier. I really liked the Aeris one, and without hesitation you pulled it out and gave it to me. Then, I asked you if you could draw The Crow, my favorite flik, and you didn't really know what it was. So a couple days later I loaned you the "Making Of" book, I think also maybe the movie (or you rented the flik on your own), and you did the sketch for me a few days later after you watched it. I remember you coming back and giving me the commission and saying something like "I'd rather do one of Shelly" (his girlfriend/wife), haha.
Now that you're all professional and stuff, I'm gonna have to commission you to do a follow up so we can compare art styles between 2000 and 2012
