12 (who?)
Hello everyone, Sorry for the long long Hiatus, had quite a few things to sort out before today. with the new year and all the late work I had to finish, I'm still behind with some commissions but hopefully with my new daily schedule set up, i will catch up on those as well, so if you are on such a list and been waiting for a long while, please give me just a bit more time, i will catch up on these late work. @__@

I started a daily monster sketch, so hopefully this will help make up for my lack of action for the past months. please feel free to join in on this excercise as well, i care less about the quality about these works, the important thing for me is keep doing one each day, hopefully to do this for a whole year. =] I think it will be a big dedication and accomplishment. =]

another Event i want to start is a contest of sorts, which would have two parts. the first part would be asking you to submit your original character for a random selection, this can be an image or description, but please keep descriptions short. you will have two weeks to submit your OC, and then 1 OC will be randomly chosen to go into the next part of the event. This part is completely random, everyone has equal chance of getting chosen. This OC can be a completely original creation, or a fan-fic character of existing games or anime. one entry per person please.

this 1 OC becomes the character to be drawn, this will be a contest. the owner of the OC will be the judge of the contest, and the winning artist of the drawing contest will be awarded 1 year of membership on DA. this part is based on the preference of the owner of the OC.

This isn't a lot for a prize, but if you think this is worth your effort, then do it, if not, nothing is lost.

if I didnt' explain that well...heres an example

Event part 1, 60 people submit their character into the : OC entry journal for (month here), lets say OC #20 is picked to be drawn.

Event part 2, 60 people submit their drawing to the contest of drawing OC #20, owner of OC #20 picks the drawing he/she likes the best, that winning artist gets 1 year of membership on DA.

this journal also becomes: OC Entry Journal for April 2013. show me your OC~! XD

Wen, what do you think of my Elemental Cabbits?
Here is my Elemental Cabbit: [link]
Here's it's character sheet: [link]
I would be honored if they ended up in your daily monster sketch.
I think they would be perfect for an "OC entry journal" because they have a wide range of elemental attacks.
Thank you for posting your artwork, I really enjoy seeing it in my DA message center!

Experimenting is always good, even if you just do it with smaller projects~
I've always found more ways to improve my current art by small experiments rather than practicing the same or similar things over and over~
Then just add new little things to the same style 'u'
Like with Wayne Reynolds. I never used to like his style, but he's improved quite a lot over the past several years and while still making his art extremely recognizable. I think it's pretty amazing if you can make your own style easily recognized as your own, but that doesn't mean you can't tweak a few things without the whole thing falling apart 'u'
Changing things up a little has always broken my art blocks~

There's a description of my fan-made OC. It's a bit long, a part of a roleplaying application, so if it's not too much trouble, just skim through it? :O Else, I can cut it down a bit. Also, don't bother opening the spoilers with the history. There's like eight pages or something <.<
