Ahahah looking at the sketch and the final version I had exactly the same idea as your artist's comment Indeed she is pretty human and gorgeous, yet fierce, in the concept sketch but, wow, how eerie and freaky she seems in the final version. Though she is far from the actual idea we have about dryad, she is closer to a nature guardian, dire, unpredictable, far closer to a wild being with no human behaviour or appearance. At this point the only human features you gave her are totally disturbing for a fantastic effect which gives me chills
